15th Street Promenade UAB- Birmingham, Alabama

The University was looking to create a green center to the urban campus, and begin to give the school a campus core.  15th Street was selected as the first phase to be implemented.  The design included an outdoor classroom space, various seating areas, an entry gate feature marking the south end of campus and matching the elements at other entries to campus and pedestrian space at either end of the former street block designed as a crossing area for students.  The irrigation system was part of the design as  well as specifying and detailing the lighting and all hardscape elements.
